I’ve done no proper training for a year.
I’ve lost a lot of fitness.
I’ve put on 10kgs.
I’ve been putting all my energies into work, as a result I am stressed, fat and unfit, and unhappy

I’ve made the difficult decision to withdraw from this year’s race.
I’ve just not got going this year at all, (very strange for me) and having the race hanging there as a target is acting as a hindrance rather than motivator. I just want to rediscover having fun on the bike again, and just want to ride over the summer building my fitness slowly back up.
It would be great if you could get someone on the waiting list to fill the spot, so it’s not wasted.
Obviously I don’t expect any refund.
If you need any one to help dot watching etc, or any assistance with pre-reg in London, Geraardsbergen or even assisting with controls further into the race then I would love to help in any way I can.
I would love to be back next year, (enthusiasm and ballot willing) – tcr 3 was by far the toughest thing I have ever done, and probably the most enjoyable.
