‘Athletic’ History

2018
transcontinental #6. Finished in 13 days 23 hrs.  Went better than I thought, but scope is there to go quicker

2017
Ironman Lanza
pulled out after the bike as I was toast.  Look what happens if you don’t train.
Ironman Barcelona – dns.
I have officially fallen out of love with ironman

2016
nothing, nadda, zilch wtf!!!
Ironman Mallorca dns

2015
IM Austria – 12:08 – 5:29 bike, (on my tcr bike – I looked weird 🙂 )
easy swim, (despite no swimming, steady bike but felt slow, slow run-walk.  That was painful – glad to finish

tcr no 3
one day late, but I finished the thing!
fuck that was hard

Ironman Mallorca – dns, (I was a bit tired)

2014
Ironman Barcelona – 13:08 – 5:06 bike 🙂
2 weeks training since France – blew at 150k on the bike, walked the marathon in 6 hrs as my calves were fucked.  Not a happy day but one nearer kona
Ironman France – 11:26 – 1:10 swim, 5:34 bike, 4:27 run
Disappointed with the bike, (rain / icerink style decending from the alps) happily surprised elsewhere.  Felt flat on the bike, (or was that going too hard in the first 2hrs?

2013
ride london – 4:34 for 100 miles – drafting but tried to ride fair / small groups.  top 5%
Outlaw – 10:56 – 1:07 swim, 5:07 bike, 4:30 run
got third in my age group, despite not being able to run :-).  Its not the strongest race
Ironman Lanzarote – 11:45 – 1:06 swim, 5:50 bike,  4:34 run.

2012
Knee Surgery – torn meniscus, running out of cartilage on the end of my femure – time to stop running
Ironman Lanzarote – 11:18 – 1:11 swim, 6:01 bike,  3:49 run
easy run as I was broken, with no running since March.  Should have easilly been sub 11 –   what might have been…… oh well

2011
Ironman Wales – 11:41 – 1:10 swim, 6:10 bike, 3:51 run
tough!
